Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July to all. Whether you are a Nazi-Republican or a Commie-Democrat, your freedom is worth celebrating.

As for me, I plan on watching reenactments of Paul Revere warning the British that they couldn't take away our automatic rifles and Abraham Lincoln's victory over the French at Lexington and Concord.

Also don't forget that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery.

Yes Don. John Quincy Adams never quit. Until he died.

Wow. Reminds me of when a friend of mine, who was at the time an Ole Miss journalism grad student. went of his rocker because one of his students didn't know who William Faulker was. This inspired a rant during which he whirled to a bartender and asked "Do you know William Faulkner"? The response of "Was he in here last night?" left me on the floor in hysterics and my friend speechless. But that pales in hilarity to my wife just now calling me while I was writing this and informing me that my two and a half year old 90 lb. Lab has somehow managed to get up on the roof of my house. Video on You Tube to follow.

I would feel better about Casey Anthony getting off IF in exchange, we could immediately incarcerate Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann (rendering them ineligible for candidacy) for felony stupidity and fraudulent (and frankly, sad) impersonation of a legitimate candidate for elected office.
