On Thursday the Mississippi Supreme Court reversed and rendered a bench verdict for the plaintiffs in Gray v. City of Jackson. The case was a Tort Claims Act case where Judge William Coleman ruled for the plaintiffs. The total verdict was $400,000 to three separate plaintiffs.

The Clarion-Ledger reported yesterday that the Mississippi Supreme extended the special appointments of retired Circuit Court Judges William Coleman and Breland Hilburn to preside over the Hinds County Circuit Court cases assigned to suspended judge Bobby DeLaughter. Judge Coleman handles the civil docket and Judge Hilburn the criminal docket.
